Terms & Conditions of Lux Private Hire

Bookings
All bookings must be pre-arranged via phone (03333 44 5687) e-mail or online (www.luxprivatehire.co.uk).
It is the lead passenger’s responsibility to advise LUX of any typographical or clerical error, or changes to the transport voucher details, (flight number or time, collection addresses, telephone contacts, etc) or missed return flights. Failure to notify changes may involve additional cost to LUX as the driver could have already driven to meet your return flight. Any resultant financial loss may be recharged to the client at the discretion of LUX. 
LUX also reserve the right to re-cost following any such changes.

Cancellations & Refunds

A minimum of 48 hours notice must be provided for cancellation of confirmed bookings. Cancellations between 48 & 24 hours of travel will result in a 50% charge of your notified booking fare. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will receive a charge of the full booking fare. Bookings paid in advance will receive a credit note for the appropriate refund amount.

Prohibited

Smoking is prohibited within vehicles.

The consumption of food or drink is prohibited within vehicles except by prior arrangement.

The lead passenger will be responsible for the conduct of all other passengers and for any vehicle damages or cleaning resulting from poor conduct. 

A fixed charge of £50 will automatically be made for any issue of vomiting in the vehicle.

Collection From An Airport

LUX drivers will always aim to arrive for airport collections approximately 15 minutes after the scheduled time of arrival, giving the passenger time to disembark, pass customs and collect luggage.

When flights are delayed or rescheduled, LUX will check flights and reschedule your collection as soon as possible thereafter.
It should be noted however, where delays (or early arrivals) occur we cannot guarantee availability to collect you immediately, pending other commitments, however we will endeavour to collect you as soon as possible.

Should you be unable to locate or contact your driver, please call the emergency contact number before exiting a building or making alternative arrangements. 

In the event that you make alternative arrangements without first contacting LUX on the emergency number to allow us to assist you, you will still be charged in full.
No Show & Waiting Time
In the event of a customer no show, LUX will try to contact you on the telephone number provided. If no communication can be made then your non-availability will be treated as a cancellation and you will be charged in full. Should the driver wait more than 15 minutes from the agreed time, then you may be subject to additional charges in respect of any additional waiting time and/or parking charges.

Safety, Property & Losses
Customers are requested to wear the seat belts provided. Where seat belts are chosen not to be worn, LUX cannot accept liability for any resulting injury caused by not using such.

LUX regret that it cannot be held responsible for any loss or expenses incurred by the passengers for any losses incurred outside the control of LUX (traffic delay, weather, vehicle accident) and bookings are only accepted on that basis.

LUX are not responsible for damages or loss to any luggage, goods, samples or personal belongings left in vehicles and are not responsible for arranging the return of such recovered items. However, LUX will always attempt to contact the relevant customer at the earliest opportunity, should any items be found.
